(view spoiler)[spoiler alert - is it possible that King Sholto is not truly dead but could be brought back to life? I know Rhys regained the ability to bring some back from the dead. Just wondering as I miss him and thought how much I hate for him to be gone, almost as much as missing Frost when Frost left. (hide spoiler)]

I miss him, too. Merry basically told me to go away until I could give her back her happy-ever-after ending. In my defense the original ending of A Shiver of Light had three of her men dead and not just Sholto. His death was the least painful I could make out of the many plots against Merry and her people. I finally have a way to fix what I broke, but Rhys's powers aren't part of it. It's traditional that people brought back by Celtic deities miss the power of speech, or have other differences. Merry, Sholto, Doyle, Frost, and all the rest deserve a true happy ending.

Will the new series of Merry (which I have read at least a dozen times and live for) translate to our current political, economic and racial climate?. I've always pictured Darkness as African although I know he is meant to be a shadowy jet dark. There is something about the light and darkness that has become the norm. Anyways fingers crossed.. I can't wait for more.. I love your work! Nightseer, Anita read them all:)
