Do you have any unpublished work that you think is just too weird to print? Not something you think is bad or unfinished....just too strange to let out.

Not at the moment, because I put several of those pieces into HOW LONG TIL BLACK FUTURE MONTH and that came out recently. But in general, sure, every writer produces pieces like that. And then hopefully she gets to put them in a short story collection!

I just finished devouring the Broken Earth Trilogy, which I received as a gift from my 16y/o...thank you for such an awesome series! Quite simply the best I’ve read in a while. I wanted to ask if you had ever read Melanie Rawn? Your use of the gems/stones and also rings as magic mastery signifiers reminded me of my old fav Dragon Prince series. Just curious. I’m looking forward to checking out the rest of your books!
