Jaiden asked Brigid Kemmerer:

Hi there! Just curious, why is Thicker Than Water called Thicker Than Water? Am I really just dumb, or is there some hidden meaning?

Brigid Kemmerer You're not really dumb! It's a play on the expression "blood is thicker than water," (which is also an abbreviated form of the full quote, "the blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb"), either of which is a commentary on which is stronger: the bonds of friendship/partnership/love, or the bonds of true family.
