I used to tell my children stories at night, particularly my oldest son Calvert. After I lost him, I was devastated. As a mother, you have to get up and carry on. The world keeps going and you're in this place of numbness. The Carpathians were born from that. Feeling no emotion. Feeling as if there was no color or joy in the world. What brought that back? For them "the one". For me it was family. So, I blended them together.

Is Joseph going to mate up with on of Gregori's daughters? Do you remember in Dark wolf when Skylar made a crack like that, Joseph told her she was probably putting a curse on him. They were going to rescue Dimitri. I just wondered if his true fear of having Gregori for a father-in-law would ever come true?
