I have just come across your books and based on the reviews, it seems like I need to get myself a copy of one them. Which series would you recommend I start with? Thank you!

Hi Julieann, now there's a question! I would say that if you like following the lives of the characters as well as the solving of the murders, then I would suggest the Fen Series, with DI Nikki Galena and DS Joseph Easter. As there are now 11 books in that series it has become very character driven as their lives evolve. If you like a slightly more psychological twist to your crime, the Jackman series is possibly a little bit edgier. They have done extremely well as audiobooks with Richard Armitage as narrator. There are only six in that series at present although there will be more. Really don't know which to suggest so have to say, go for them both! All the very best, Joy

This is not really a question I am afraid. I must admit that I only started to listen to your first Jackman book because of Armitage. Oh lord, that talented voice (and that face?!)... And then before I know it, I am in love with Jackman. Your writing makes it of course!! A reader is an armchair traveller. I have never been to that part of the UK but I feel that I know it thanks to you.

Joy, Random question / thought, Do you think you can ever get someone to sketch out the main characters from the Nikki Galena series? I'd love to see the characters you created be brought out and feel more real. In your books, the way you describe these people is so in depth and it'd be super cool to see what they really look like! Especially Nikki and Joseph being described as beautiful people. :)
