Hi Cornelia, I read the Inkheart series a while ago, and they were incredibly good, I very much enjoyed reading them. Where did the idea for the series come from? And, since it has been turned into a movie, does it annoy you that the movie changes the book?

movies always change things, Samantha. They are far to short to show a novel the way it was written. Of course I would have preferred it to get more things right, but it is still wonderful to see Dustfinger so well played by Paul Bettany:) as for the idea...I am a book eater, so of course I love the idea of characters coming out of the book or myself getting lost in one...I just didn't know how - until I realized that for me only the human voice makes words truly come alive

Hello Cornelia, I hope you're doing well. I revere the Inkheart series - these books really helped me grow up and form my identity. Of late, I was extremely curious about the original novels and I wanted to ask if Mo and Meggie speak Swiss German? I was wondering this based on Inkheart's locations. Hi Cornelia. I read Inkheart, and loved it! I enjoy writing my own stories, but struggle for a balance between too detailed and not detailed enough. I don't want the story to seem too vague, but I don't want it to be boring with a ton of details. How did you find the balance when you were writing Inkheart? Thanks! Graycelin (12)
