How do you get inspired to write?

Nathanael Garrett Novosel Find a burning question that you have or a lot of people have or a story that's never been told that you know would fascinate people. Then think about how most people would get it wrong and how you could do it differently. For non-fiction, this approach gets me motivated to write the perfect explanation, the complete argument, or the best answer to the question. For fiction, it can be as simple as, "Wouldn't it be cool if ______ happened right now?" to get ideas popping into your head that makes you want to get them down on paper.
