Goodreads asked Nathanael Garrett Novosel:

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Nathanael Garrett Novosel Like many people, I've been pondering the meaning of life for a long time. I have a unique circumstance in that my brain works more like a computer, so I was surprised that every book I read on life, meaning, and purpose were so driven by parables, morality, and specific actions. I couldn't understand the symbolism, and it felt so much like the guidance was open to a great many interpretations. I'm not the first person to criticize these most popular texts, but I found out that I would be the first person to combine psychology, evolutionary biology, and philosophy to explain the meaning of life through the lens of how life works and how you can use it to live with meaning. When I identified the eight core concepts that a human must master to live with a sense of meaning, I knew I had to write the book and push humanity's thinking on the topic. (I hope I succeed!)
