Goodreads asked M.L. Tishner:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

M.L. Tishner Don't worry about trying to get published before a certain age. Everyone's journey is different. When I was in high school - I wanted to be one of those rare authors who had a book out by 19. My first book was published when I was 33 and I don't regret a single step I took in my journey. Everything happens when it's supposed to and everything I learned in that time only ever helped me to become a better writer. I still have a ways to go, but I learned to enjoy the journey as well as the destination.
