Don't worry about trying to get published before a certain age. Everyone's journey is different. When I was in high school - I wanted to be one of those rare authors who had a book out by 19. My first book was published when I was 33 and I don't regret a single step I took in my journey. Everything happens when it's supposed to and everything I learned in that time only ever helped me to become a better writer. I still have a ways to go, but I learned to enjoy the journey as well as the destination.

I literally push through it. It feels like walking through mud that's waist deep, but I keep going and put words to paper. I know I can edit later, the important thing is simply push through. I think Stephen King's quote said it best: "Sometimes you have to go on when you don't feel like it, and sometimes you're doing good work when it feels like all you're managing is to shovel shit from a sitting position."
