Right now I'm working on A Dark So Deep, the second book in The Madness Method, as well as another new YA fantasy novel that I think will be a lot of fun. It keeps wanting to turn dark, so I might just let it. When I got the idea, it seemed more humorous to me -- kind of turning a trope on its head -- but there seems to be a lot more at stake than I originally thought.
Apart from those, I've got a number of stories I've been toying with for a while...one of my older fantasy novels, and two of my former NaNo novels -- Ethereal (another YA fantasy) and an untitled YA dystopia with a snarky male lead.

Have you ever had difficulty continuing a story after you've written the beginning? Like, struggled to know where it should go next, or been completely lost as to the direction that need to be taken? I ask because I began a story, and I find myself at a loss for what should happen next and I'm wondering if you have any remedies/advice for this predicament?
