I'll be in NC this fall and would love to visit an area similar to what Oyster Bay is based on. What town(s) would be good to visit to have that experience?

Oyster Bay is a mash-up of the harbor where I grew up in New York (on Long Island Sound) and a small town on the NC coast called Oriental. You could visit Oriental or another town such as Southport, which would give you more of an Olivia Limoges type of restaurant as well as a delightful bookstore. If you're in that area, I highly recommend downtown Wilmington as well.

Hi Ellery, Just finished reading The Secret, Book and Scone Society...placed it on my 'all nighter' shelf. I ate so many treats while reading your book probably gained 50 pounds! Absolutely loved the every moment and did not want it to end. I have already pre-ordered your next book and making sure the library I work at has a copy as well. Do you ever speak in California at Pages Bookstore in Manhattan Beach?

I am just finishing the Supper Club Mystery. Trying to buy The Battered Body and Black Beans & Vice I found they were not on the shelf of my local Barnes and Noble. When I asked if I could order them I was told "we no longer order books by this author". As much as I prefer to support bookstores I ended up ordering from Amazon. I am curious, what is the problem between your works and Barnes & Noble?
