Carrie
Carrie asked Kobe Bryant:

What inspired you to become an author? How does it feel when you've finished a book? Do you feel accomplished or do you feel sad that the story is finished? Lastly, do you write with a certain type of reader in mind, such as teens or kids?

Kobe Bryant When I create a story, I am mostly thinking about the kind of reader I was as a kid, and what my girls are like now. I am trying to create stories and characters that they would want to read, that they can connect and relate to, and that reflect their experiences. That’s what inspired me to get started with Granity Studios after I retired, and it’s what continues to inspire me now.

It’s unlike anything else when the book is finished! The writers and I spend so much time making each detail, big and small, perfect, and there is a tremendous sense of accomplishment when it’s complete. Then I am usually on to the next story. Meanwhile, the book is going through production, and, often months later, there is that same sense of wonder and accomplishment when I see the finished copies. It’s like visiting with an old friend!
