Do you see any carryover from how you approach the game of basketball to how you write as an author now? Or what strengths that made you a great player do you see in yourself as a writer now?

The largest carryover is in the attention to detail. I want to bring the same focus and attention that I had on the court to the books I create. To look at every aspect of the story, the character, the arc, and ask, “is this the best way to do this?” “Do all of these pieces best teach the lessons we want to teach and still make the story engaging?”

How do you approach writing books? Do you focus more on the story-building/story-telling itself or focus more on portraying the lessons/insights you have gained over time through the story you are writing? It seems so far your books have been more focused on explaining/alluding to the Mamba mentality that so many people aspire to have, but does story-telling with different types of themes peak your curiosity at all?
