How do you approach writing books? Do you focus more on the story-building/story-telling itself or focus more on portraying the lessons/insights you have gained over time through the story you are writing? It seems so far your books have been more focused on explaining/alluding to the Mamba mentality that so many people aspire to have, but does story-telling with different types of themes peak your curiosity at all?

Creating books is a team effort. I collaborate closely with the authors who flesh my ideas out on the page. I have a specific vision for the setting as well as for each character and the lessons they’ll learn through their journey in the books. I think my focus is pretty equally divided between those two areas from a concept point of view. Yes, there are definitely connections/references to Mamba mentality in my books. I think it’s a crucial message, particularly for young readers and particularly for books about sports and coming of age. Storytelling with different themes is of interest and is something we’re doing with our books. Of course, Mamba is present, but my books aren’t limited to just that message.
