Goodreads asked Charles E. Rouse:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Charles E. Rouse Writer's block can be writer's block and it can be person block. In other words, if you're convinced that you should write and you can't, something is going on in your life. Look at your relationships- towards improving them, not wrecking them. Continue to read and study. Travel if you can. Wash your car. Go swimming. Think about things. In general, if you're meant to write, you'll come to a place where you can and I'll tell you how it feels.
You look a blank page and your fingers trip over each other trying to get it all said. Relax, it'll either happen, or maybe you should have been an accountant anyway. Nothing wrong with that.
