When I hit a bad spot and can't come up with what to write, I take a long walk with my dog in the woods or I get away from the computer and go somewhere with my wife. This helps me get out of my own head and I just leave it all behind me. Nine times out of ten when I get back, my mind is clear and the writing is much easier.
