How do you get inspired to write?

Michael Cover For me the inspiration came from my career as a police officer. I always felt that a vast majority of people don't understand what we as cops go through on a daily basis. I have thought about writing this book for several years but it wasn't until I retired that I was able to sit down and do it. I used my 24 years of police work to inspire all of my stories. They are all true stories that I was involved in and I did not sugarcoat any of them. I wanted everyone to know the reality of what I did.
