How do you get inspired to write?

Holly Castillo Everyday experiences inspire an idea that can evolve into a story. I love to "people watch" and I wonder about their lives--How did they get that scar? What has made them so happy? Where are they going and where have they been? Just thinking about these questions makes me create my imaginary spin on their experiences. Hearing stories about people's lives inspire me. Reading the news inspires me. I constantly say there are voices in my head (seriously, I can't get them to give me a moment of peace!) and I have to get their story on paper as fast as possible!
