Hi, sorry if you've been asked this before, but i was wondering how do you make time to write considering you have a day job and a family ? do you write a bit every day, do you manage to isolate yourself from noise ? How do you find the time to create complicate worlds and new books every year while being busy most of the day ?

Mark Lawrence Well, I've been a full time writer for the last 4 years since the advanced research centre I worked at closed down:

But I did write quite a few books while working. Everyone is different but I am lucky to be able to write in very small bursts with no need to "get in the mood". Also I tend to only write once, which means that my time is spent quite efficiently. If I was the sort of writer who needed many drafts or a fortress of solitude then I would have been in trouble.

Now that you are a full time writer, it seems your writing is years ahead of the publishing, such as currently writing the third Red Sister book when the first won't be published for almost a year. I know you are not a planner and may not know what's next, but would you (or your publisher) be open to two series being published concurrently? I know, I'm greedy, but I am finishing Wheel of Osheim and it is incredible.

I have just finished One Word Kill, and really enjoyed it. I have a quibble, though - "Sorry" is played with cards not dice. The Pop-o-Matic shaker was "Frustration" - unless you were playing some obscure hybrid version "popping the dice bubble to take your turn at Sorry." Has nobody else noticed this?
