Goodreads asked Howard Scarrow:

What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Howard Scarrow Being able to explore the deepest corners of your imagination and even your own psyche. It's cathartic to be able to work through thoughts and feelings that may be otherwise difficult through the prism of fantasy and fiction. Characters can suffer so that you don't have to and at the end of the day, either you will learn something about yourself -- or the character -- or at the very least, the story will be better, more honest, for it.
