Howard Scarrow I am currently working on finishing the first draft for the follow-up to Black Moon, as well as an all-new novel, set in modern times, inspired by survival horror video games like Resident Evil and psychological horror films such as Session 9.
Howard Scarrow Being able to explore the deepest corners of your imagination and even your own psyche. It's cathartic to be able to work through thoughts and feelings that may be otherwise difficult through the prism of fantasy and fiction. Characters can suffer so that you don't have to and at the end of the day, either you will learn something about yourself -- or the character -- or at the very least, the story will be better, more honest, for it.
Howard Scarrow It started as a writing exercise, just to keep the fingers nimble. The title, which informed the premise, came from my whiteboard, where I had listed "Black Moon" by ELP as a song I wished to cover on my first album (which never got made).

The premise, inspired by the title, largely came from my want to stop working midnight shifts at an automotive factory. I felt my life was ruled by darkness, and I wanted to see the day again.
