Goodreads asked Robin Edwards:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Robin Edwards Go for it! I know it sounds cheesy but it's true. What stops people from pursuing things they are interested in or curious about is fear of failure and you can't fail unless you don't try.

Sure not everyone is going to be the most perfect writer...because perfection is subjective and it doesn't exist anyway. As long as you keep writing and keep honing your craft your skill will get better and better.

The other advice I would suggest aspiring writers is to create a detailed outline of your current work in progress. Some writer's are what we call 'pantsers' which means they write as they go but if you really want to come back full circle in your story and make sure you aren't missing anything, write a very detailed outline of your book's plot and include your character's motivations etc.
