Robin Edwards Most of my ideas as mentioned in another question typically comes from random photographs I see, conversations I have with people, personal experience, a phrase and I build off of that.
Robin Edwards I'll be honest, some days it's tough because there will be a day where I don't feel like writing but it's what I do for a living so I kind of have to but I try not to think of it that way.

What usually inspires me can be anything from a photograph I see somewhere, a quote I come across, some lyrics, a movie or even a conversation I've had. Inspiration comes from everywhere.

When I was younger I used to write fan fiction all of the time because I would think to myself (after watching a movie or television show) about how I would have changed the story line OR I'll think to myself about how would that tv show or movie change if they threw in 'this' kind of character.

Then I'd get excited by the idea and start to write. That's what happens to me when an idea hits.
Robin Edwards Go for it! I know it sounds cheesy but it's true. What stops people from pursuing things they are interested in or curious about is fear of failure and you can't fail unless you don't try.

Sure not everyone is going to be the most perfect writer...because perfection is subjective and it doesn't exist anyway. As long as you keep writing and keep honing your craft your skill will get better and better.

The other advice I would suggest aspiring writers is to create a detailed outline of your current work in progress. Some writer's are what we call 'pantsers' which means they write as they go but if you really want to come back full circle in your story and make sure you aren't missing anything, write a very detailed outline of your book's plot and include your character's motivations etc.
Robin Edwards I haven't mastered it yet if that's what you're asking.
Robin Edwards Telling stories that make people laugh, cry, distracted...make them forget for two hours.
Robin Edwards I'm currently working on a lot of things...one of which is to update my current works w/ more content, updated blurbs and covers for some.

The other books I'm working on is Greyson (Secret Revenge #2) and an untitled "Choose Yours" title where readers who signed up to receive my Reader Club newsletters will get to choose what happens in the future chapters as they read along.
