Keren asked:

Is this series reverse-harem or not? I get that the synopsis states that it isn't; but it can be found under reverse-harem genre, so I am a little confused.

Emily So far I have read the first 2 books in the series and am reading the 3rd now. This series is what I would call diet reverse harem. While technically it is not a reverse harem, it shared many characteristics of one. As mentioned by Izzy, the three mages are protective of the MC, and all display romance vibes towards her (in very different ways). The MC is casually dating one of the mages but it is no great romance (as so far as I have read).
This book is kinda unique since it does not commit to reverse harem genre while giving off a feeling of one. I notoriously dislike RH but I like this series, so if you are really curious just give the book a try. I did, and so far am not regretting it.
Moa Eriksson It's not reverse-harem. Sure, all three of the mages are flirtatious towards the main character, but she's in a relationship with one of them - only one. It doesn't progress beyond flirting with the other two, and I get the feeling it's not all that serious, anyway. And, as Izzy said, many readers make mistakes and mix genres up, so I personally would trust the author more tham Goodreads in this case.
Izzy Hi Keren,
This is a difficult one. The author says it's not a reverse harem:
"Note: The three mages are definitely sexy, but this series isn't a reverse harem. It's 100% fun, sassy, fast-paced urban fantasy."

Saying that, however, the series very much captures the tone and feel of a reverse harem so I'm not surprised by the question e.g. MC is sort of in a relationship with one mage, she's got a budding emotional connection with another and the other one seems to be a boisterous friend who could be more. All the mages are protective of the MC and I think all three mages have made flirtatious remarks/moves towards the MC.

I actually tried the author's Steel and Stone series by the same author and felt it had reverse harem vibes also. After reading spoilers, it's clear it's not so I think it's just the author's style.

"it can be found under reverse-harem genre"
This is done by readers so mistakes can easily be made. For instance, someone has listed this book under the crime and contemporary genres.
I've asked Goodreads users to recommend me fantasy novels and I've been recommended science fiction instead. There are a lot of people out there that don't understand the differences between genres and sub-genres.
Sabrina No, it's not. She'only involved with one of the guys in the book.
Stephanie It's kind of misleading, but it's not a reverse harem. I have now read the entire series, and it never goes that way either. Tori is a monogamous gal through out the series.
Norma Dangla I also thought it was a reverse-harem situation, so I didn´t go on with the series, though I had really liked the first book. Now I feel encouraged to read the second book, and see how it goes on.
