Just keep at it. Nearly the first draft of everything I write is pretty shabby. I re-edit every chapter the next morning until it begins to come close to what I want to say. But I know from first-hand experience, you have to get a lot of bad writing out of the way, to open up the channel for the good stuff. Write every day, in some form, have a routine as if you were going out to work on a proper schedule. Expect rejection, try not to take it personally, although it is hard. Educate yourself about the market and send your work out there. Good luck to all of you! I know what it's like to labour over a dream and I can assure you it's worth it!
