Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Travis Haugen 'Soup', the fourth book in the 'One Song' series (first to be published), is the ongoing story of the Yonge family. It tracks the adventures of the second generation of this musical family as they navigate the realities of a politically unstable world in the near future.
The entire series is taken from forty years of life on the road as a working professional musician, and from hundreds of hours in recording studios. I took those experiences and wrapped them around the fictional Yonge family in the hopes that I can make people feel how I feel when a song is being written, recorded and performed. The goal is to bring people right on stage with me, and illuminate what it takes to get there.
