What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Travis Haugen Do not avoid the work. success in anything is directly proportional to the work you put into a project. And don't skimp on editing. As writers, we are too close to the words. Get a professional editor to at least read and evaluate your work, and learn how to look at your work through his or her eyes.
And maybe most important of all, believe in what you are writing, or no one else will believe it. When you write, you must spill your guts on the ground.
