I love your books so much, I can't get enough! They are so amazing! My favorite is Catching Jordan because I'm like a total tom-boy. I love sports and love romance so it was like a perfect book for me. My Question….. Where did you get your inspiration and ideas of the Hundred Oaks Series?
Miranda Kenneally
For each book I write, I want to feature a different kind of girl. I don't want to write the same book over and over. I want my books to appeal to a wide range of girls, so by writing different types of girls, I am hopeful girls will be able to relate to at least one of my characters. I get inspiration from all over the place. One of the first things I do when I come up with a book idea is to go around and ask people for their first thoughts on the subject. For instance, when I was writing a book about football, I asked friends and family the first thing that came to mind when I said the word "football." Sometimes I would use their ideas and memories in my book. I also read magazines, look at pictures, and watch TV to get inspiration. In order to learn how to write, I spent a lot of time reading YA books in general. This helped me learn what I like and what I don't like, and how to write plot arcs. Thank you for the question!

For your Hundred Oaks series, did all the plots and stories just come to you or was it a gradual idea that kept growing as you kept writing about Hundred Oaks? Did you already have ideas for Stealing Parker, Things I Can't Forget, etc. while working on Catching Jordan?

Hi, Miranda! I'm a relatively new fan, and I hear all this pure amazingness of some of your characters having appearances in your other books. Is it necessary to read your books in order? If so, I've messed up already because I've read Breathe, Annie, Breathe (my favorite), Stealing Parker, and Jesse's Girl. Heh... Also, as a runner, Annie's plight, and running descriptions were perfection!
