Miranda Kenneally Hi Liz - Thank you for the question. I do know some 10, 11 and 12 year olds who have read my books, but I generally recommend that readers wait until they are 13 or 14 to read them. I also encourage parents to read my books first and determine if they are ok for younger preteen readers. When I was a teenager, I was never taught anything about safe sex or provided information about safe relationships, and neither were most kids at my school. My church and school only taught abstinence, and as a result, many girls become pregnant. I learned everything from Seventeen magazine! Thank goodness I had that.

I strongly believe in showing what safe sex looks like and empowering girls to decide what's best for them and their bodies, so I don't avoid tough topics. All of my books frankly discuss sex and relationships.

Here are some recommendations for YA romance novels that may be more appropriate for 11-12 year olds:
The Distance Between Us by Kasie West
Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins
First and Then by Emma Mills
Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by Jennifer Smith
Grounded (Rapunzel) by Megan Morrison

Anyone else have suggestions?
Miranda Kenneally My book COMING UP FOR AIR has a significant storyline about a cheerleader and cheerleading. :)
Miranda Kenneally Hi Sarah - Yes, my new book FOUR DAYS OF YOU AND ME comes out May 5, 2020!
Miranda Kenneally Hi Alex: The books in my Hundred Oaks series are companion novels, so you can read them in any order, but I suggest this order: Catching Jordan, Stealing Parker, Things I Can’t Forget, Racing Savannah, Breathe, Annie, Breathe, Jesse’s Girl, Defending Taylor, and Coming up for Air.

My new book, Four Days of You and Me, which takes place outside of the Hundred Oaks world, is also set in Tennessee. It comes out May 5, 2020.

Thanks for your question!
Miranda Kenneally Yes, there will be an audiobook of Four Days of You and Me coming out from Recorded Books. Thanks for your question!
This question contains spoilers... (view spoiler)
Miranda Kenneally There are Sam Henry and Jordan Woods short stories at the ends of DEFENDING TAYLOR (the print version) and COMING UP FOR AIR.... and there may be something big coming in 2020. ;-) Thanks for your question, Eva.
Miranda Kenneally Hi Scott - Thanks for your question. To my knowledge, audio rights for Jesse's Girl and Defending Taylor haven't sold, so that's why they haven't come out in audio book. Maybe one day! - Miranda
Miranda Kenneally Hi Ellie - My next book, FOUR DAYS IN MAY, will be out in early 2020. So glad you love Maggie and Levi and my other books. :) Thanks for your question.
Miranda Kenneally Hi Katie -

I imagine Annie and Jere are spending lots of time running, eating, and kissing! They've probably graduated from college. Annie is likely a physical therapist and I bet Jere is a gym teacher. ;-) Thank you for your question.
Miranda Kenneally Hi Seda,
Thank you for your kind words and your question! FOUR DAYS IN MAY is not part of Hundred Oaks -- it is something brand new. Like Hundred Oaks, it is set in Tennessee and features lots of romance and friends and family. I'm super excited about this love story and can't wait to share with everyone.
Miranda Kenneally Yes, my next book FOUR DAYS IN MAY will be coming out in early 2020. It's about Alex and Lulu, an on-again, off-again couple, set over four years in high school. The book takes place on one day each year. Hope you enjoy! And thanks for your question.
Miranda Kenneally Jesse's Girl! Thanks for your question.
Miranda Kenneally I will definitely let everyone know if I decide to write more books in the Hundred Oaks series! :) I'm so happy to hear you think they are amazing. Thanks for your question, Destiny.
Miranda Kenneally Thanks! I'm so glad you love my Hundred Oaks books. I've been writing virtually non-stop for eight years, so I'm recharging my writing batteries. I've been doing some free-writing and playing around with new characters, but don't have anything specific to report yet. :) Thanks for your question, Daniela.
Miranda Kenneally Hi Marley - I don't have any current plans for a Hundred Oaks book beyond Coming Up for Air. I am really proud of this book and it feels like the right place to stop the series, as everything is feeling very wrapped up. As for what's next, still working on that! I've been writing virtually non-stop for eight years, so I'm taking a bit of breather. Thanks for your question.
Miranda Kenneally Coming Up for Air is all done and is being prepared for publication! Advanced copies are out in the world. It will be in stores July 4, 2017.
Thanks for your question!
Miranda Kenneally Yes! When I find the time, I plan to write the steamiest steamy adult romance novel that is steamy. :)
Miranda Kenneally I *think* Coming up for Air will be the last book in the Hundred Oaks series.

I am really proud of this book and I want the series to end on a high note. I'm also interested in pushing my writing beyond sports and exploring new topics. So while I'm hesitant to say I will never write another book set in the Hundred Oaks universe (who knows, an amazing idea might strike!), for right now I am looking to push my writing further and try new things.

Thanks for your question, Ashlynn!
Miranda Kenneally Hi Daniela - Hard question! Catching Jordan, Stealing Parker, and Things I Can't Forget take place in the same year. Racing Savannah and Breathe, Annie, Breathe take place about 4 years after the first three books. Jesse's Girl is a year after Breathe, Annie, Breathe. Defending Taylor is a year after Jesse's Girl. And Coming up for Air is a year after Defending Taylor. (I think! I hope!) Thanks for your question.
