An idea comes to me and then blossoms into something bigger. Sometimes I see or hear something and it causes a flicker of creativity. It just seems to happen and once I have started writing a novel, it's very difficult to pull myself away and go back to the real world until it's finished. Sometimes I have ended up writing more than one at a time.
