With respect to uterine replicators, would the mother-to-be still have the option of breast feeding their newly decanted baby? Just something that popped into my head, wondering how nursing would fit into the different classes of Barryar society. I assume it mean manipulating certain hormones, but would it be something even done?

The Vorkosiverse would certainly have it within easy options to medically arrange the mother's (or wet-nurse's) hormones however she or it pleased. (*) Well-understood biology, by that time. In most places, it would be considered a personal choice.
There would also be the option of vat-made human milk, I have no doubt. (Or any other kind.)
* - Also, Athos. Who knows what they consider culturally normal, though I'd bet on vat milk there. Probably.

In Curse of Chalion you have scenes of crossing a mountain pass and Penric likewise crosses a pass. You make it all very vivid and immediate. I've never been up in such a place and was wondering what experience and research you'd based this on? (This question was prompted by watching a documentary on a team of scientists looking for Hanibal's route across the alps - and seeing mountain passes.)

Hello! A couple of questions ago you mentioned A Warrior's Apprentice as one of your evergreens, having never won awards (among some other criteria), which I'm so shocked by! I read it in high school and one of its lines is now memorialized as my senior year quote (too embarrassed to say which one). I've now graduated from college and still go back to it every year. Thanks for writing it all those years ago <3 [?]
