Just started reading Dark Prince, and loving Mikhail and Raven both so much. Reading the series backwards as I have a tendency to do. All your characters come to life and all have such wonderful human qualities, even when they aren't really--I love how he is always searching for "answers to questions but at a later date." Do you have a propensity to use qualities in people you know for your fictional characters?
Christine Feehan
I'm not sure if I'd say I have a propensity to do that, but at times I may find a trait in someone I know that I either love or find intriguing and it could be given to a character later on. Many of the traits have to do with what is needed for the couple. Or, more specifically, what is needed for the couple. The story often dictates the character traits.

What is the most difficult part of your artistic process, when creating each new series? I do appreciate the time you take for each series development and can never get enough. There's only three main authors I collect every book from and I am glad you are one of them.

What is the difference between a light novel and “serious literature?” I see it referenced in older discussions of books but can’t find anything specific on it and everything I do find relates to manga. What is the difference? Is something like psycho by Robert Bloch considered light? Or short stories by Robert aickman or Charles Beaumont? Or is that serious literature?

I'm a little confused. In the first four books it talked about how they were helping Niccolatta after they had saved her when she was 15. And in this last book it makes it sound like she had been going to college? If so, how can they say it had only been 3 years? I know that would make her 18, but if she was going to college, I would think she'd be older?
