Hi! I just finished The Lantern's Ember and it's wonderful! I truly admired how you weaved Halloween in such a story! My question was is this story based on a legend? I remember reading somewhere about a witch and a Lantern! I may not know too much about Halloween!

So glad you liked the story! This one was based on a fable I read about Jack O' The Lantern. I found it online somewhere. He was a cursed man who was too evil for heaven and too good for hell so he had to guard the crossroad between and held up a lantern to guide the souls across. I liked that idea and played with it along with all my favorite Halloween stories and characters and then mixed it together with steampunk.
