Joanne
Joanne asked Mary Robinette Kowal:

I just finished Ghost Talkers and it was one of my favorite books this year! I loved the combination of historical fiction, fantasy, romance and mystery. You really took me by surprise in some parts of this novel! I am thinking of reading another of your books. Some of them look like they may be just romances with less history. I don't know. If I liked Ghost Talkers, which one should I read next?

Mary Robinette Kowal I would either try "Calculating Stars" or "Valour and Vanity"

Calculating Stars is Apollo era SF that's women-centered. Basically Hidden Figures meets Deep Impact.

Valour and Vanity is book four in the Glamourist Histories and is basically "Jane Austen writes Ocean's Eleven." It's a heist novel. It's written so you can step into the series without reading the previous novels.

And all of my books are as historically accurate as I can make them, aside from the magic. Or asteroids.
