It offers a good opportunity to think about and discuss the difference between accidental harm and willful harm, the weird Agatha Christie trope of suicide being a sort of honorable way to avoid scandal, the acceptance of the colonialism of the time and the problem of young women not having a good way to support themselves.(less)
