I know someone with ALS, luckily the slow kind. I've wondered how profoundly it would affect him emotionally if it were not just arrested but reversed after 20 years of fighting & dealing with a slowly progressing debilitation. Conflicted, redefining himself at 65?

Good question; I have no answer.
Although surely some analogous situations have cropped up in real life by now, people with formerly uncurable conditions which have been overtaken by advances in medical technology.
For myself, I expect I would be ecstatic, then swiftly readjust to my new normal normal. Any folks with RL experiences are welcome to chime in with their own insights.

Dear Lois, Some of your books are not easy to find and others appear out of publication. Also, living in Portugal, even if I buy them on British Amazon or American Amazon, I might have to pay high shipping fees depending if they go through customs. Is there any plan for re-editions of all your books to mass-market paperbacks or hardcovers?
