Shannon Weeden asked Daniel Gibbs:

What inspired you to start writing science-fiction? What is your favorite science fiction book?

Daniel Gibbs I'll start with the second half, because that's a really difficult question. I've read so many over the years. My all time favorite sci-fi novel is Mutineer's Moon by David Weber. The jist of it is that our moon is a giant space ship. Check it out... while that sounds completely over the top and insane as a plot device, it actually works out really well. The entire series keeps you guessing and is very well done.

As for the inspiration to write, in my previous 'day job', I did a ton of technical writing. I had created in my mind, the universe around EOTP many years ago, and I just decided one day I was going to write something that was worth reading, and bring my stories to life. Now that I've published it, the market will determine if it is actually worth reading. Meanwhile, I'm working on more books! :)
