Allie
Allie asked Mary Robinette Kowal:

At the end of "Without a Summer" you say that you borrowed three sentences from Jane Austen. I missed them, which ones were they? Were they all from Emma?

Mary Robinette Kowal I can only remember one of them, but they were probably all from Emma. It's modified... "Of all the evils surrounding Melody, Jane was persuaded that she must herself have been the worst."

In the original, it was, "Of all the sources of evil surrounding the former, since her coming to Highbury, she was persuaded that she must herself have been the worst."
