Honestly, though, what you gain from it is all going to depend on your self awareness. I may not have gained new perspective or learned much, but that's because I myself have gone to years of therapy to learn how to look at life differently. My mom is 70, and I will be sending her this book. She is someone who struggles with a constant negative outlook, extreme poor self care, etc, and Rachel Hollis has a much better way of phrasing things than I do lol, so I'm hoping it helps my Mom get to a healthier place in life. I hope that helps you a bit.
