Hey! Would it be ONE Kickstarter for ALL 5 Riyria books, or would each book get its’ own Kickstarter? And the books will match the size of the hardcover editions of Death of Dulgath and Winter’s Daughter, right??? Also... just so you know, I am willing to pay extra for the color block dust jacket. Thanks for doing this for us, it gives me a headache just thinking about allthis I can’t imagine what it’s like for you!

Hey Flama - thanks for your interest in the hardcover editions of the Riyria books. Robin has run the numbers and we are going to do this "outside" of a Kickstarter campaign. The reason, between the credit card processing fees, the Kickstarter fees, and the Backer Kit fees, we would need to raise a lot of additional money. So, what we are going to do instead is just have this be a "buy direct" promotion.
But to answer your questions.
1. Yes all books will be for sale at the same time. You'll be able to buy them in one of four sets (a) all Riyria Revelations (b) first two Riyria chronicles or (c) All Revelations and first two Chronicles (d) all Revelations & All Chronicles.
2. Yes the books will match the size of the previously released hardcover editions that were created for The Death of Dulgath and The Disappearance of Winter's Daughter.
3. There will be versions with the color block (for those that want to match the "regular hardcovers" and there will be some that have the "full image cover (to match the "limited edition" covers.
4. The quantities are VERY limited (something imposed by Orbit. I'm trying to get them to increase the numbers by at least another 100 (per book) before I go live with the details. But I do suspect they'll sell out pretty quickly.
5. Which brings me to my last point. There is a sign-up list for people who want early notification of when the sales start. I'm HIGHLY recommending that people sign up for it at this link . You'll probably also want o make sure emails from michael@michaelsullivan-author.com are not going to any spam folder (or the "promotions" folder if using gmail. Because I'm sure there will be some disappointed people who won't be able to get copies.

I've been dipping my toe into writing. I'm wondering if you could offer some advice. Some dark topics will appear in my stories. Do you have any advice for writing dark subjects, disturbed characters and scenarios, while not feeling 'icky' about it? Or is that just a part of it?
