Michael I'm **way** behind on my Royce & Hadrian books. Do you have a list somewhere (I thought I remember seeing it) of best order to read them in?
Michael J. Sullivan
Hey Carl, I recommend reading in order of publication so that would mean the following order:
* Theft of Swords (Riyria Revelations #1 and #2)
* Rise of Empire (Riyria Revelations #3 and #4)
* Heir of Novron (Riyria Revelations #5 and #6)
* The Crown Tower (Riyria Chronicles #1)
* The Rose and the Thorn (Riyria Chronicles #2)
* The Death of Dulgath (Riyria Chronicles #3)
There are a few short stories, which are written to be stand alone stories and can be read in any order these include:
* The Jester
* Professional Integrity
* The Viscount and the Witch
I would not that the last one (Viscount and the Witch) actually is the seed that grew into the Riyria Chronicles. As such, it ended up being chapter #2 of that novel, so if you've read The Rose and the Thorn - you can skip that short.
Thanks for asking.

Hi, I'm a big fan and have just finished Death of Dulgath and will start Age of Myth soon. I was curious, near the end of Dulgath, Royce sees several images painted on a wall in the monastery. They seem important, but I didn't understand their significance or where they came from. Is this something I missed from the Chronicles or Revelations or from the new series or none of the above?Thanks for all the great stories!

I saw where you said you used Scrivener. I've been thinking about buying it for a while now but I've been hesitant because I don't really know anybody with experience using it. What do you like about the program and what are its drawbacks? Are there any kinds of writers you think it's best suited for or is it fairly well a cover-all recommendation?
