I've stopped hoping for another "Miles" book because I'm afraid you'd kill him. But in the meantime, I've fallen in love with Pen and Des - dare I hope for more? Also - can you cast Pen for my mind's eye? I can't find an actor who is blonde, pretty and looks younger than his years. Orlando Bloom as Legolas was VERY pretty, but don't think he could look young enough now. I guess they could go blonde wig again, but ...

Alas, I don't follow actors enough to have a suggestion for Pen. I went off to look at an internet picture array when Ron Miller, the artist, and I were kicking around cover ideas, but he went with landscape (or seascape) instead, to my relief. None of the shots I saw then were totally satisfactory. So for the casting game y'all are on your own. I note hair color is changeable; facial structure would be the key.
Nothing new is in progress at the moment -- it's been a sluggish winter. All sitting around watching Great Courses and anime, and not going outdoors. New Pen is not impossible, especially given his flexible story-length options, but the next idea spark has not yet reported for duty.

For years I kept a journal and added quotes from your books that resonated with me. I don't know which book two quotes came from: #1 “The list went on and on. There was not telling, she said, what she would be next. And I thought “I want to be like that. I want to be like her. Not just one thing, but a world of possibilities. I want to find out who else I can be.” Maybe Memory? Do I have the quote right?

Do you favor any particular tech for writing stories or keeping notes? There are so many different types of paper-like writing tablets, writing apps, and so forth available these days. I wondered what you as an author use for getting ideas written down, organized, and eventually sent out. Any recommendations of what to use or perhaps avoid? Has tech changed your process over the years?
