S.E. Hinton, despite how problematic she is
Alex London, because not only his writing but his care he takes with his characters, is amazing.
And also, Dhonielle Clayton. She instantly rocketed herself up there. I'm 20% done with THE BELLES and already learning so much about writing from her prose. She has a spot in my "influenced me" rotation forever.
I'm going to add a fourth, because i was OBSESSED when younger; Jonathan Stroud really influenced me, and sassy voice.
