I've enjoyed the first 1.5 of the Bobiverse books, but have noticed there is a fair amount of gender disparity in the stories. Bobs aside (although 'drift' could, and arguably should, include gender identity) most to all characters acting in leader or important positions are male, while female characters are not in positions of authority, nor made into probes, nor named (medicine woman). Is this deliberate?
