During summer 17 in the book when Cady was with the liars who was she actually with since they are dead? Does her mom realize she thinks the liars are still alive and she thinks she is with them every day? If so why does her mother not do anything? The part about the doughnut shop, the liars say what types they got but Cady knows they are lying because she knows the shop does not have doughnuts, why do they lie?

Giving Cadence the time she needs to figure out the truth by herself, and the thing about the doughnut shop.. I don't know for sure, but maybe it was Cadence's subconscious trying to make her remember, giving her clues to what really happened. Like helping her figure things out.(less)
