Yes, the book is a little long, but she explains it so much better in the book. the book isn't confusing, its pretty clear. If you watch the movie first, there's no point in reading the book, you already know what's going to happen.
It is an amazing series, read it. don't forget the extra book 'Four', its really good. (less)
