This is ridiculous that fans have to wait an entire year to read the second book. I love Nora Roberts but frankly I think I will stop reading her books. This is not the first time I have experienced the long wait with her series. Is there a logical reason for this?

A year is a perfectly reasonable time to wait. Try waiting on George R R Martin. George takes longer lunch breaks.
