Susan asked this question about Of Blood and Bone (Chronicles of The One, #2):
This is ridiculous that fans have to wait an entire year to read the second book. I love Nora Roberts but frankly I think I will stop reading her books. This is not the first time I have experienced the long wait with her series. Is there a logical reason for this?
Arimathea There is a very logical reason. It takes time to write a book. Then the book has to be edited, proofread, possibly revised, printed, and released.

An entire year?! A year is not a very long time. Fans of many authors have to wait decades for a series to be completed -- and occasionally the author dies before the story ends. (See: Jordan, Robert, and Masters, John.)

Think about all the Charles Dickens fans in New York who had to wait for each CHAPTER of a book to be printed in the London papers and then sent by ship across the Atlantic.

If you can't take the wait, then don't read the series until it's done. (less)
