Why is his name Fiske? It means fishing in Danish.... I hate it when authors do this,,, because when I read it in English and suddenly there is a danish word it just throws me off and it contributes to me liking the book less... it sucks, cuz this sounds awesome!!!

A favourite of mine has a male character named Berit. In translation, his name is changed to Berrit, but I haven't read the translation for nearly 20 years at this point. I got used to it, and never spare it a second thought anymore. To the author, it was a made up name, just like all the others.(less)
